Information we store
Depending on how you use CapiSpot, we store your email and profile details, optional photo and bio, brokers, transactions, goals, journal notes, AI conversations and messages. Watchlist, price alerts and display preferences are stored in your browser.
Why we use it
We use information to operate your account, show and sync your portfolio, provide requested features, support subscriptions and protect the service. We do not sell your personal data and do not show ads.
Access and sharing
Portfolio records are private to your account and protected by database access controls. Community information is shown only when you choose to publish it. A public portfolio showcase displays allocation percentages, not holding amounts.
Service providers
We use providers for hosting and database services, payment processing, AI responses and market data. The payment provider handles card details; CapiSpot does not receive or store full card numbers. AI providers receive the content needed to answer your request. Market-data requests use ticker symbols.
Optional analytics
Only if you opt in, we record event names and a random, temporary session identifier to understand sign-ups, first holdings and Pro checkout. We do not send portfolio details, email addresses or names to analytics providers. Analytics events are retained for up to 90 days. You can change your choice in analytics preferences.
Cookies and browser storage
Essential sign-in and preference storage is used to provide the service. Optional first-party analytics storage is used only after your consent. We do not use a third-party analytics provider.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, export of or deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account from the service. For privacy requests, contact support@capispot.com.
AI features
When you use an AI feature, the relevant prompt and information needed to answer it may be processed by our AI provider. AI conversations are stored with your account so you can access your conversation history. Do not submit sensitive information that is not needed for your request. See the AI Acceptable Use Policy.
